## Genesis with Peter Gabriel 1974 {{< GalleryComponent id="1974-genesis-wgabriel" >}} Showco began working with Genesis and Peter Gabriel in 1972 and Showco provided the sound and lighting for the Lamb Lies Down on Broadway Tour in 1974-75 which was the last time that Peter Gabriel performed with Genesis. Showco employees Craig Schertz and Alan Owen were the sound engineer and lighting designer respectively for the tour.

## The Osmonds Outdoor Show and Wind Accident 1974 {{< GalleryComponent id="1974-osmonds-louisville-collapse" >}} Showco provided stage lighting for the Osmonds show at the old Cardinal Stadium at the State Fairgrounds in Louisville, Kentucky on August 24, 1974. The lighting system consisted of four Showco lighting trees with the pneumatic towers and two Showco trusses, an upstage truss and a downstage truss, each supported by two Vermette hand cranked lifts. The lighting crew chief, Kirby Wyatt, and his Showco lighting crew set up the lighting equipment the day before the show. Overnight a strong thunderstorm with high winds hit the stadium and blew the Showco trusses over onto the stage and onto the ground in front of the stage. Fortunately, no one was injured and Kirby and the Showco crew cleared the stage of the damaged trusses and Vermette lifts and did the show with just the four Showco lighting trees.
